The Intercept Exposes Facebook’s Enemies List

Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan

On October 12, 2021 The Intercept published Sam Biddle’s extensive (4000 word) article, “REVEALED: FACEBOOK’S SECRET BLACKLIST OF “DANGEROUS INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS. The piece leads with,

Restrictions appear to trace back to 2012, when in the face of growing alarm in Congress and the United Nations about online terrorist recruiting, Facebook added to its Community Standards a ban on “organizations with a record of terrorist or violent criminal activity.” This modest rule has since ballooned into what’s known as the Dangerous Individuals and Organizations policy, a sweeping set of restrictions on what Facebook’s nearly 3 billion users can say about an enormous and ever-growing roster of entities deemed beyond the pale.

Biddle makes clear what makes Facebook itself a danger to society, exploiting ever rotating sides of “being a private company” on the one hand, and participating in unwarranted, secret surveillance of US and world citizens unaware that their constitutionally guaranteed rights are being constantly violated by this so-called “private company.”

The fact of this massive list of “blacklisted people” or “enemies,” now makes perfectly clear why totalitarians on the Left lather at the mouth in efforts to force Facebook to implement efforts to define half or more Americans as “members of hate groups,” “white supremacists,” and “domestic terrorists.” In this same context it should be repeated here that Mark Zuckerberg’s family with wife Priscilla Chan invested over $419 million in support of Democrats in the 2020 election.

Yesterday (October 15, 2021) The Intercept published the actual list of individuals and groups Facebook secretly surveilles, blocks and censors. That list is here. Hundreds of pages! And the Democrats in power want this list expanded to include everyone with an opinion about the verity of the 2020 US elections, the health risks to children for vaccines or masks, and a plethora of other simple political or social opinions.
