During Christmas and the holiday season, Settlement Project regions in both Ohio, and the Mid-Atlantic hosted warm, family meetings where friends, staff and members could meet, enjoy each other’s company, reflect on our efforts and successes in 2023, and look ahead to this hugely important year of 2024.
Holiday Greetings from The Settlement Project
This particular gathering focuses on media, perhaps as in part responsible for our current shameful ugliness, as well as on ways media might contribute toward needed healing. My first premise is that our world is full of noble, courageous, journalists ready to give their lives to honor truth-telling for the sake of a better world. Although I admire honorable journalists and am grateful for the indispensable service they offer, I myself try to avoid them and have as little to do with them as possible.
On October 14, 2023, forty regional political and activist leaders gathered at the Hilton Garden Inn Dulles North, Ashburn, Virginia for The Settlement Project Conference, “Cultural Transformation and the Race to 2024,” cosponsored with FreedomWorks, Heritage Action and Affirm America.
The exceptional success of this conference titled: Asian American Values and the Threat to Families and Healthy Education, continues the urgent efforts of The Settlement Project to effectively serve families and communities in regions throughout America.
The Settlement Project brings together leaders and activists from diverse backgrounds for a common purpose and mission. Settlement Project works to build and maintain those aspects of the American culture that promote individual freedom and responsibility, safe and healthy family life and education that is the foundation for prosperity. We seek an environment for raising our children in schools that teach respect for all and honors those who dedicate themselves to achieve something greater and better for America.
